Missions

We are humbled at the generosity of the fellowship of believers here at Woodruff Road Christian Church! We have made a strong commitment to support missions with 20% of our general giving as a cornerstone of our budget. Our intention is to balance our work locally, nationally, and internationally

Orchard Group:  based in Newtown, PA

This Church planting ministry was started in 1948 in New York City to establish Christian churches in the region and it has spread across the country and to other parts of the world as well. During that time, they have established over 75 new churches.  Our support is directed to the New England area to aid teams who wish to plant churches in the region. Our former mission partner, Restoration House Ministries, had a great track record of 20 new churches and was merged into the Orchard Group during 2022.

Central Africa Christian College, Harare, Zimbabwe

Beginning in 2022-23 Hippo Valley Christian Mission restarted a Christian College in Zimbabwe called Central Africa Christian College which is already approved to offer 4-year degrees in Bible Theology, Missions, and Teaching. As a result of these positive developments, we are happy to report that we now have students from not only Zimbabwe, but also Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya, with students from two other African countries joining us in January. There is no other institution in all of Africa, affiliated with the Restoration Movement, that offers a four-year degree like this.

North Georgia Christian Camp, Clarksville, GA

The ministry of North Georgia Christian Camp began in 1966 when church leaders in the area became aware of the need for a specific ministry for the youth of their churches. They envisioned a summer program where students could come together for the purpose of learning about Jesus Christ and His great gift of abundant life. Since 1972 the camp has grown and flourished, all the while keeping the original mission intact: to provide a place for people of all ages to learn, grow in their faith, and be challenged to serve.

Additionally:  We offer monthly campaigns for food, paper products, health & hygiene products, winter clothing and other items that are distributed to local missions to help those who are in need. This allows all of our members to love God, share Jesus, & serve humbly.
