Our Staff and Leadership

Dr. Chris Wise, WRCC’s Senior Minister, is originally from Center Line, MI a suburb just north of the urban center of Detroit. Having resisted the call to ministry at first, he pursued and completed a degree in Psychology before submitting to the life changing call to serve God’s Kingdom in the local church. For twelve years, youth ministry was where you would find Chris serving, with the shift to preaching occurring in late 2012. In December of 2021 Chris graduated with his PhD in Preaching and Biblical Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. Chris’ dissertation project is entitled: “Narratives and Adult Learning Theory: Narratives as Vehicle for Delivery and Retention of Propositional Truths” and can be found in multiple national research databases. This process was precluded by successful completion of a Master of Theology degree in Pedagogy, a Master of Science degree in Bible and Ministry, and the aforementioned Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Married to Nancy for 20+ years, they have three daughters. The hobbies of choice are reading, playing games of all kinds, and Detroit Sports.

Andy Huss, WRCC’s Associate Minister, grew up in a ministry family, so he claims many different states as home! He grew up primarily in Mt. Airy, NC and Cincinnati, OH. Initially pursuing a career in camp ministry, Andy felt the call to youth ministry during his study at Johnson University. This is also where he met the love of his life, Hannah. Upon graduating with a Bachelors in Preaching and Youth Ministry, with a Business Minor from JU in December 2021, he quickly entered vocational ministry and married Hannah. He began ministry in King, NC, then in October of 2022 he joined the WRCC staff. Andy enjoys playing video games, listening to music and podcasts, telling stories, and taking trips to TN or NC to visit family.

Dana Collier, our office administrator, has over two decades of experience in church administration/ministry. She has a passion for ensuring our congregation feels connected and cared for.

Dana grew up in the picturesque small town of Campobello in northwestern Spartanburg County, SC. She and her husband Neil have one daughter (Elizabeth) who teaches first grade at Monarch Elementary. Dana loves music, theater, football, shopping, traveling, visiting, and meeting new people.
